Courtney Moretti MNutrDiet APD

Courtney is a warm and engaging member of Optimum Intake’s Residential Aged Care team. She enjoys working within a team approach and is an advocate within the multidisciplinary team to ensure consumers are provided with care to meet their health and wellbeing needs. She is focused on optimising the food, nutrition and the mealtime experience. With experience working in the hospital system and geriatric wards, Courtney brings to the team valuable communication skills and understanding that assists in bringing together care service and catering service teams to deliver effective and impactful outcomes for each consumer.
She is a strong advocate for meals being more than simply food on a plate, she knows food can be more meaningful than just the nutritional quality alone, it can promote social connectedness, lift a person’s mood by igniting memories of years gone past and much more.
Courtney supports and promotes a culture of inclusion and respect for consumers food preferences and desires. Consumer are encouraged to exercise choice and independence, while respecting their privacy. She undertakes initial and ongoing assessment and planning for nutritional services, in partnership with the consumers. Her work has a focus on optimising consumer’s health needs, goals and nutrition preferences during assessment and review consultations, and take into consideration how changing circumstances, such as nutrition impact symptoms on every review, check for taste changes, nausea or vomiting and food preferences, increased/decreased thirst .
Courtney is an Accredited Practising Dietitian and a member of Dietitians Australia. Courtney graduated from the University of Wollongong joined the Optimum Intake team in 2021.
Courtney looks forward to building a supportive relationship with Aged Care Facilities and the local community, to achieve optimal health and wellbeing for her clients.
