Lauren Hogg BN&D APD (Hons)
Lauren is an Accredited Practising Dietitian and member of the Dietitians Association of Australia, with a Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics (Honours) from the University of Newcastle. During her candidature, Lauren completed an Honours Research Project undertaking a cross-sectional study investigating feelings of fear and disgust towards healthy and unhealthy foods. With a strong research background in both Nutrition and Physical Activity, as well as four years’ experience programming and instructing Fitness classes, Lauren enjoys utilising her expert problem solving skills and ‘thinking outside the box’ to develop and implement tailored interventions for individuals and families.
Lauren is passionate about promoting sustainable change and improving individual’s relationships with food through the application of a holistic, client-centered approach to optimise health outcomes. Lauren’s holistic, tailored approach to nutrition support combines client education and behaviour change to enhance skills, knowledge and confidence in facilitating sustainable changes to achieve goals. Lauren collaborates closely with Medical Teams and Allied Health Professionals to ensure optimal health outcomes are achieved through a united approach.
Lauren is well versed in the nutritional management of paediatrics, oncology, malnutrition and women’s health. Other areas of interest include optimising nutrition for the improved management of diabetes, gastrointestinal issues, cardiovascular disease and rehabilitation.
