Jane

Jane McLeay BN&D (Hons) APD
Dietitian

Jane is an enthusiastic member of Optimum Intakes Adult Disability Team, where she works with NDIS participants to fulfill their potential through optimised nutrition.

Jane’s passion for food and nutrition stems from her own experiences with her own nutritional concerns and the support she received from a dietitian. She understands how difficult it can be to navigate through all the conflicting nutrition information out there, and how rewarding it is to receive the right support to make change that positively impacts your health and wellbeing. Jane strives to provide this support to all her clients and help them achieve their individual nutrition goals.

Jane has seen how stressful the process of shopping, prepping, cooking, and eating can be for so many people, and aims to eliminate this stress by educating her clients and providing them with practical strategies to make this process easy and enjoyable. Food is essential for our survival, but it is also a social experience that is meant to be enjoyed and shared with family and friends, and Jane aims to bring back this enjoyment to mealtimes.

In Jane’s spare time you can find her exploring somewhere outdoors, paddle boarding or socialising with friends and family over food and the occasional glass of wine.

Jane is an Accredited Practicing Dietitian and a member of Dietitians Australia. She graduated with a Bachelor of Human Nutrition and a Master of Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Canberra. Jane joined the Optimum Intake team in 2021 and is part of their clinical and disability nutrition team.
